I am tired of popups on the web

News websites, any longform writing for that matter want me to accept cookies and subscribe to their newsletters. I’m fine reading on the web, thank you. Every other website wants me to allow notifications. No thank you. Never. Some places just want to show me around their new interface. If their interface needs a tour, they need a better interface. Oh, and so many sites just wasn’t to cover up the whole page with a dialogue reminding me that I’m still on their free plan. A free plan is not a trial, so please let me be, or just discontinue the free plan!
